Anyone who’s been watching both Raw and Smackdown would know that the Diva that has really made a great impact on any of the brands for the past year and half is none other than Melina.From that oh so hot entrance (what full-blooded male would not want their girl to have the ability to make that kind of split! Woohoo!!!) to that bad girl slash skank slash celebrity persona, Melina has class act written all over. Yes, Candice Michelle may be more popular – which is pretty understandable given that Candice is like Viagra to all men. But Melina, by far, is a more complete package. She acts well, has great mic skills, and is actually a pretty decent wrestler. Anyone who has seen her match with Trish Stratus would immediately notice it.

With Melina’s transfer to Raw though – a whole host of opportunities has suddenly opened up for her. She now has a very clear path to taking the Women’s Championship, something she would never have been able to do in Smackdown because the title resides in Raw. It is also a great opportunity for her to really show her mettle as a Diva because she now has to contend with all of top WWE divas, which are all Raw talents. This is a make or break opportunity for her.

And she has actually performed admirably. The new push she is getting with the new story angle between her and Mick Foley will definitely give her the necessary screentime to really bring her to the fore. I would not be surprised if I see her get the Women’s Championship from Lita before the year ends!

Finally Trish Stratus has found the words to explain her decision not to renew her contract with WWE. What it finally came down to: the need to grow and do some new things.

The diva points out that if you combine her years in WWE with her years in the fitness modeling industry, she has been working and on the road for almost a decade. She has done her growing up years while constantly travelling, a big part of it on tour with the WWE superstars.

Trish says that she wants to take time and enjoy the fruits of her labor. She’ll enjoy having some “me time”. It will be fun to have barbecues at home and go watch the hockey games of her nephew.

The decision to retire wasn’t easy to make. Having spent so much time with them, the WWE superstars have become a part of the diva. In fact it is they, and the fans, that the diva says she will miss the most.

When interviewed, the other divas have expressed surprise, shock and sadness that she is leaving. Ashley Massaro and Candice Michelle state that Trish Stratus was their mentor, helping them get started and showing them all the tricks and the real work of being a diva. Trish was in fact Ashley’s first tag team partner when she was in RAW.

Mickie James whose WWE career began as Trish’s number one fan says that she is shocked and sad to see her idol go. Melina says she hoped Trish would stay longer so that they could have worked together more. In the end though all the divas respect Trish for choosing to retire while she’s at the highpoint of her career.

So everything is set for her final match. On September 17, 2006 she wil face Lita in the ring for one more chance to be the WWE Women’s Champion. As Trish puts it:

“No matter where my final match took place, it would always be special…but if this were a fairy tale, the writer couldn’t come up with a better scenario. My family, my friends…I couldn’t ask for a more perfect scenario. To survive and prosper in this industry, all the sacrifices, you have to have the support of the people closest to you, and to go out in front of the people who always supported me is fitting for the moment.”

“Our careers (Trish and Lita) have paralleled since we came in…going out, there wouldn’t be another ass I’d like to whoop as much as I’d like to whoop her ass at Unforgiven. She and I in the ring standing face to face just tells the story, and so much more will unfold at Unforgiven. It would be my honor to go out by whooping her ass one more time.”

Water is something the divas enjoy. After all, they get to show off their gorgeous forms in swim wear, though admittedly they do that in the ring too. As evidenced in the Beat the Heat match last month, Victoria has certainly shown she enjoys playing with water.

Wonder if WWE will schedule a water match for the divas anytime soon? Hope it will be an interesting one.

Maria is one person that a lot of people look forward to seeing when they watch RAW. She is like champagne - light and bubbly - though definitely not much of a threat in the ring at this point in time. She can even make watching paint dry interesting.

Now that the divas are getting shaken up, wonder what WWE plans for this diva? She has improved since she first joined the divas but there is a whole bunch of them coming on board very shortly. Will she get more ring time or just stay with kiss cam.

No matter what, she is one diva to watch anytime she’s in focus, even if WWE just uses her for decoration.

Could it be? Will Mickie James really be kicking back and relaxing while Lita goes up against Trish in Unforgiven? Won’t she get in the ring one last time with her former idol?If she does, it is a bit hard to tell whether she’d help Trish or assist Lita.

With Trish out of the way she has more opportunities to grab the number 1 slot. Who knows, she may even win the belt a second time.

A backstage meeting between Trish and Lita turns into a mixed tag team between Trish and Carlito vs. Lita and Orton. Not one of the best matches but it was an improvement over last weeks set. Looks like WWE’s management is giving Lita every opportunity to practice on Trish before Unforgiven.

If they will allow Trish to utilize her full abilities, Lita really will need it. Trish didn’t become a six time WWE Women’s champion just because she looks pretty. She really has what it takes to rule the roster.

The story line seems to be for Trish to take the fall as she did in this match but boy are we rooting for her to walk away from Unforgiven the champion, even if they refuse to give her the belt. Watching this match, it is clearer than ever why Trish, and no one else, truly is the top woman of WWE.

Trust WWE to come out with a special WWE halloween event. WrestleVania is to feature some of the creepiest, scariest, or strangest moments in WWE. Wonder how many really creative bits they can come up with?

Candice Michelle fans will definitely want to watch this since she hosts the show. The show is WWE’s 24/7 on demand feature for October.

The divas are very unevenly distributed in WWE at the moment. There are ten of them in RAW(Beth Phoenix, Candice Michelle, Lilillian Garcia, Lita, Maria Kanellis, Melina Perez, Mickey James, Torrie Wilson, Trish Stratus and Victoria), five of them in Smackdown(Ashley Massaro, Jillian Hall, Kristal Marshal, Michelle McCool and Sharmell). Oh, and yes, there are three vixens (Ariel, Francine and Kelly Kelly) in ECW. Since the championship belt is on RAW, it makes sense that the strongest wrestlers would be part of that brand.

Still some shake up and change about is expected with the new contracts for the girls who joined the diva search not to mention Nikita (Katarina Waters) and Victoria Crawford. Looks like the first two to get tossed to another brand are Candice Michelle and Melina.The new trading cards were stamped with Smackdown on Candice Michelle’s card and ECW on Melina.

Candice Michelle may not mind the change but Melina may not take kindly to being shifted out of RAW. Melina may enjoy being the only true diva on ECW but that takes her out of the running for the championship belt unless they’ll have a match across brands.

With Trish leaving and since Lillian isn’t really a wrestler, there will be six divas on RAW, six divas on Smackdown and one diva on ECW plus three vixens. Where in the world do you thing the new girls will be placed?
Yup! It looks good for tag team matches with the numbers more evened out. New storylines should be popping up soon too. That is definitely something to watch out for.

Though she isn’t on the WWE superstar board yet, Layla has posted on her MySpace that she has been drafted into Smackdown. Since there are currently only 5 women on the brand roster, Layla will definitely be a welcome addition.. One of them no longer even enters the ring at all, and only three of them are any good in the ring.
It will be interesting to see if WWE will be shifting their divas around to even out the numbers. It will be good to get some new faces in the ring. Hopefully the storylines will get better too.

They’ll probably test her out on Kristal for starters. She really isn’t in the same league as the others yet.

Maria has been here, there and everywhere except in the ring. While it is nice to see her handling Kiss Cam, it would also be nice to see her developing even more as a diva. With new blood coming in she needs to step up quite a bit.

Opportunity is knocking, Maria. Get in the ring and show them what you’ve got!

If you’ve been wanting to see more wrestling from the divas, you may just get your wish tomorrow. There’s a diva tag team match slated for your enjoyment.

You’ll have the back to school girls Candice Michelle and Torrie Wilson in the ring but they aren’t on opposite teams. Their opponents will be two of the craziest and strongest divas in the WWE, Mickey James and Melina Perez.

Candice will surely be put to the test. Lets see if her newly acquired skills will be enough to defeat the former WWE Women’s Champion and the top woman of WWE.

Why is the women’s title at RAW? After the match between Kristal and Jillian you can see that Jillian in particular is worthy of a shot at the championship belt.

She’s not the only one who wants possession of the belt. Melina Perez is definitely eager to grab the top diva spot on any and all shows of WWE. As far as she’s concerned, she already is top woman of WWE.

Will WWE allow the smackdown divas a chance to get the belt? It will definitely make for an interesting match if it comes to pass.

It is finally confirmed. Trish is retiring from the square circle. It has been a glorious career. She has been a true diva showing that the women of wrestling aren’t just beautiful to look at (being absolutely sexy). She displays strength as well and intelligence. She will be truly missed.

She was all set to make her announcement last Monday but Lita beat her to it. The current WWE women’s champion said she was doing Trish a favor. She knew Trish was having a hard time finding the words to tell her fans that she will be hanging up her boots so she decided to help her out.

Lita’s interference really pissed Trish off. It is one more reason for Trish to win the belt from Lita at Unforgiven. I, for one, want Trish Stratus to walk away from WWE carrying the champion’s belt with her. May the creative team of WWE please agree and grant this wish.

Among the top fantasies of men is to have their women in schoolgirl dress. This was the treat that WWE had in store last night for their spectators. Who were the divas fulfilling the spectators dreams? It was Torrie Wilson and Candice Michelle.

Torrie Wilson looked absolutely luscious in her red plaid skirt. Candice Michelle was tempting as usual in black and white. Both of these divas had the crowd going wild. Bet a lot of you wished they were in the live audience.

Of course dressing up wasn’t the match. The actual event was called Paddle on the Pole. Can you guess who won? Candice Michelle, of course. We don’t blame you for getting confused since she had Torrie spank her first before returning the favor though she won the match.

Though the number one contender is supposed to be Trish Stratus, Mickie James got the next match against Lita. Mickie was really determined to get the belt back.

Mickie was great. She was constantly in motion. She was constantly looking for the opening that would allow her to pin Lita down.

In the end though, no matter how hard Mickey tried, Lita retained the title of WWE Women’s Champion. She managed to get Mickey pinned using the ropes. Wonder if Mickey will try again?

There is still enough time before Unforgiven and it would be interesting if the match would be between Mickie and Trish instead of Lita and Trish. At the moment it seems like only the storyline created by the writers of WWE is keeping Lita the champion.

Layla El has won the 2006 Diva Search. She has her check for $250,000 and in fact has already had her very cold and very wet initiation with the divas. After pretending to snub her the divas - Jillian Hall, Ashley Massaro, Candice Michelle, Maria Kanellis, Michelle McCool, Trish Stratus, Torrie Wilson and ECW Vixen Kelly Kelly - relented and let her know they were just joking before tossing her in the shower fully clothed with a playful slap on the butt to welcome her on board.

She’s not the only one to receive a contract though with WWE. Four other 2006 Diva Search contestants have signed on. But they aren’t likely to be seen for a while yet. Amy Zidian, Maryse Ouellet and Milena Roucka will be in training at Ohio Valley Wrestling next month, joining Nikita and Victoria Crawford.
Rebecca Di Pietro may have been one of the first to get tossed out of the contest but she was also the first among them to receive her contract. The question now will be if the powers that be (spelled as Vince McMahon) will put her in training at OVW with Victoria Crawford and Nikita or if he’ll pull a Barbie Blank and toss her into ECW as competition for Kelly Kelly. Keep your eyes open for this new diva of WWE.

So since 5 of the eight divas are already on board (do note that except for Layla El, these girls were in the bottom 3 and the 4th runner up) what was the point of the competition? Shall we expect JT Tinney and Jen to appear on the board next month?

ECW vixen Kelly Kelly may think she knows how to strip but she really has no clue how to put on a good show. Lucky for her, RAW diva Torrie Wilson was willing to come over and show her how its done.Of course, that was the original plan.

It was supposed to be just an Extreme Bikini Contest. Thanks to the interference of Kelly’s boyfriend Mike Knox with Test plus the objection of Sandman with Tommy Dreamer, it became a 6 person tag team match. Torrie, teamed with Sandman and Dreamer) showed Kelly that the divas of WWE are more than just bodies; they are the toughest women of wrestling as well.

Strange that after Mickie James lost the belt to Lita, she hasn’t tried to reclaim it. Bet some of the fans were beginning to wonder if Mickie James would only want the belt if Trish Stratus were once again its bearer. In fact WWE has billed the match between Trish and Victoria as the Number One Contender Match.

Mickie has finally spoken out. She says Lita had better watch out because she’ll be getting the belt back, making her a two time WWE Women’s Champion. The diva points out that a true doesn’t need to cheat to win. She also says she doesn’t get mad. She gets even.

Keep watching to see if she can pull it off. It may come even come down to a match between Mickie and Trish in the end. Defnitely something to watch out for.

The diva search is almost over. Question is how many of the ladies who joined the search will become part of WWE’s stable of stars. As the divas themselves will tell you, the competition is a great stepping stone to a great career. Imagine being considered to become one of the sexiest women on television.

Will any of them do as well as 2005 Diva Search Winner Ashley Massaro? She has definitely fit in with the divas like a glove on the hand. She’s definitely sexy! Just look at her in this picture.

It was supposed to be Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James. It’s been a while since these two were alone in the ring and Trish needs to get ready and grab the belt back from Mickie James preferably this month (if it’s true that she’s leaving especially). Unfortunately, they didn’t even get to start the match.

What happened? Edge interfered. He kicked Mickie out of the ring but let Trish stay. “Why?” you ask. The answer: he’s upset about not being the top dog and second to othe WWE stars including the - Trish in particular who is on the cover of the latest WWE magazine which he felt should showcase him instead.

Typically, Lita was very eager to get the party started. She and Edge had an advantage that got spoiled by Carlito coming to Trish’s assistance yet again. A knight in something other than armor.

Though Edge and lita exited the ring at that point, the feud was by no means over. Shortly after, a formal match was announced between the four. Can you guess who won? If you said Lita, you guesed right.

What in the world is happening to WWE? It really just goes to show that all the women feel that Trish Stratus really is THE diva of WWE or as Melina puts it, the top woman of RAW since they all want to fight her and not Mickie James who actually has the belt. Let’s just hope the matches and storylines get more interesting than this.

When Stacy Kiebler’s contract ended everyone just figured she had found a new calling and a better contract. After Dancing with the Stars Stacy had managed to break into mainstream hollywood. Her contract with Disney proved it.

Then rumors that Trish Stratus would be leaving surfaced. Her contract is almost up and still no news has surfaced that the six time WWE Women’s Champion will continue with WWE has surfaced. Now this diva is really good. Why in the world is Vince McMahon allowing her to slip away?

Suddenly there are hints that Lita too will be leaving the fold. What is happening to WWE? This divas is another strong player in the ring. Is WWE going back to putting the women on the sidelines doing nothing but being managers?

Could it be that the diva search contestants are now to be considered winners (though of course only one of them will bring home the $250,000 prize? Are all of them going to be on board?

We shouldn’t be surprised if that happens. After all, Michelle McCool, Maria Kanellis, Candice Michelle and Kristal Marshall all received contracts though they weren’t THE winners of the diva search competitions they joined in 2004 and 2005.

It will be really sad though if Trish and Lita leave; especially with the belt still in Mickie James’ hands. Come on, divas! If you real are going to leave, go out with a bang. Take the belt with you please and exit as the champions we know you are.

Remember two weeks ago when Candice Michelle was the guest referee in the diva tag team match between Trish and Torrie vs. Mickey and Victoria? Candice Michelle did a pretty good job of making sure the divas played fair. Unfortunately, she had to throw Mickie James out of the ring a few times and she did it quite literally.

That sparked a grudge match between the current WWE women’s champion Mickie James and Candice Michelle last week. When it comes to the looks department Candice Michelle is absolutely outstanding. She isn’t the Go Daddy girl for no reason. She has an absolutely gorgeous body and a great sense of style. Mickie James on the other hand has a pretty face and a cunning mind. Like her former idol Trish Stratus, for her it is about the match not the outfits.

The bell had barely rung and Mickie was off. She was really out to get Candice Michelle, screaming almost the entire match, trying to get Candice Michelle to submit. Candice Michelle barely got to fight back, though she did try. The ref actually had to lift James of her opponent at one point. Just when it looked like Candice Michelle finally had Mickey James, the diva managed to pin her and rolls out of the ring.

The result: this week’s diva tag team match was now between Candice Michelle and Trish vs. Mickey James and Victoria. The referee for this match is Torrie Wilson. The match begins with Victoria squared against Candice Michelle. In the end though, the match is won by Trish and Candice Michelle working together. They shouldn’t forget to say thanks to Torrie for getting in Mickie’s way. This definitely isn’t the end of this tangled weave of divas.

Peek-a-boo! Where are you? It’s been months since we heard that Victoria Crawford and Katrina Waters signed their WWE developmental contracts and went into training. So far, we haven’t seen hide nor hair of these two new divas. Barbie Blank aka Kelly got exposure a lot sooner with ECW and she really was exposed.

Seems like Vince McMahon is determined to bring out not one but two new wrestling divas that are not just eye candy. Too bad it is taking so long to bring them in. It seems like the 2006 Diva Search Contestants are getting more air time.

Hopefully, they will be worth the wait. In the meantime enjoy the picture of Victoria Crawford.

If you are a gorgeous diva, you spend some time on the beach like Trish. Now that is hot! If you had this diva with you, the summer would never end. Don’t you just love the gorgeous body of Trish?

Just don’t get fresh with her. Don’t forget that she is after all a 6 time WWE Women’s Champion. You just might find yourself down in the sand but not the way you planned.

From Diva tag team to diva tag team and now it is a singles match. Probably because Kristal isn’t ready to get back in the ring yet, it was up to Michelle McCool. Of course, her opponent was Jillian Hall.

Michelle walks in wearing black booty shorts and a pink bikini type top. She also had black boots on and carried her yard stick and wore glasses. Jillian on the other hand was truly casual in her black pants and red bikini type top.

Kristal and Ashley were there to support their respective partners. Kristal showed up in pink as well and a practically glued on neckline. Ashley on the other hand was wore a most unusual outfit of black and red striped skirt, gloves and stockings matched with black boots, black cap and white shirt. If this was an outfit match, Kristal would probably win for the cleavage.

Now, of the four divas, Jillian is the most experienced. After all she has been with WWE for almost 8 years. She has been in quite a few matches though it is only lately that she’s been getting really good story lines again.

Michelle though is no newbie to the ring and seems to have really been practicing. She starts taunting Jillian about her flat backside and big boobs. Good thing she was quick to move when the diva tried to slap her. The match moves pretty quickly with Jillian and Michelle showing off som interesting gymnastics in the ring. In the end though, the match went to Michelle McCool. Watch the match for yourself.

Lita is such a tough chick that most people don’t realize how beautiful she really is. So we’re sharing this really nice picture taken of this diva and show you guys what you may have overlooked. She really is beauty and brawn. This diva can definitely wrestle and isn’t just there for show.

Wonder if she will challenge Mickie James for the title anytime soon. That would be interesting! It would be great if this two time WWE Women’s Champion can win the belt this year. That would show Melina how to be top woman in WWE.

Kelly also known as Barbie Blank has done some modeling before joining the divas of WWE. Here’s one of her pictures from Kind Girl just for those who might miss her stripping routine if Mike Knox (or WWE storymakers) does indeed manage to persuade her to stop taking her clothes off in public.

Wonder if she’ll be getting any wrestling training soon. It would be nice to see her do something more physical in the ring. Hmmm…wonder how she’d handle having Melina or Victoria in the ring with her in a match?

Your girl wants to have more blings? Why not giver her some like what Trish uses here. Talk about sparkly! S the diva shows, girls just love to shine and look good - and she really does look gorgeous!

Wonder if they’ll have her in a bikini match anytime soon? Maybe a bra and panties tag team match? That should be interesting!

So what’s new with melina? Is she accepting that Trish is still the top diva in RAW or are things just heating up some more. Nitro’s doing his best to hold on to his title but Melina has yet to even challenge Mickie James for a shot at the belt. That’s something to look forward to.
She does have a very unique ring entry method though. Too bad it is not what will give her the title of top woman in the WWE as she wants.

Just when things are going great yet another diva gets injured. This time it is Victoria. No details have yet been disclosed about what exactly has happened to her knee during the match between her and Torrie that they were taping for Heat. Hopefully the injury is minor and will not call for her to be gone too long, if at all. She is after all one of the better wrestlers among the divas.

Two more divas have been injured in the line of work. After the 2006 Great American Bash where 4 of the divas were in a very physical bra and panties match between Ashley, Jillian, Kristal and Michelle one of them had some rib injuries. Can you guess who? No, it wasn’t Ashley in spite of all the stomping Kristal did.

Actually it was Kristal who had to go have her ribs checked. So far it seems like she won’t be taking a break though. There may yet be another match between her and Ashley soon.

What will Stacy Kiebler be best remembered for during her stay in WWE? Could it be her fantastic moves in the ring? Hmmm….not really. Maybe it’s her dancing ability? Oops! That’s from her dancing on that TV show “Dancing With The Stars”.

Stacy will always be remembered best for her long gorgeous legs. Thanks to Stuff magazine, you can enjoy this image of the diva even after she leaves WWE.

Not satisfied with the results of last weeks grudge match, the four are at it again. This time Kristal and Michelle vs. Ashley and Jillian are competing in a 4 way bra and panties match. No matter who wins the boys in the audience are definitely happy.

Though many weren’t expecting much in terms of a wrestling match from these four, the divas all did their best to put on a good show. This was no quickie. It lasted almost seven minutes total compared to some of the other diva bra and panties match that are done in 2 minutes.

Definitely holding a grudge, Kristal was out to take down Ashley. Unfortunately for her, Ashley and Jillian work well together as a team. Ashley is also a class act. Watch how she handles her pissed off partner when the announcement makes it seem like Ashley alone won.

They always stick Mickie into those pleated skirts and boring tops. She’s usually dressed like a cross between a cheerleader and a cowgirl that people forget that she is a diva.

Fans of Trish will be excited to hear that she’ll be on the cover of the next WWE magazine. No images have been released yet but news is that it’s going to be red hot! Then again, Trish always is.

ECW normally begins with Kelly Kelly (Barbie Blank) stripping down as much as she can without the show getting bumped off the channel due to the public indecency. Thanks to her “boyfriend” Mike Knox, there has been less stripping by Kelly (hmmm…the boys seem to be complaining). Just to keep our male readers happy, here’s a nice pic of her courtesy of WWE.com.

The divas are some of the sexiest women on television. They have great bodies and are unafraid to try new things. Is it any wonder that they are much sought after by magazines.

So who will be on FHM? Can you guess? Clue: she has graced the pages of playboy and was on the cover of the summer issue of WWE magazine.

It is none other than Torrie Wilson. She has had her photo shoot and her lovely body will grace the cover of this really hot magazine. Unfortunately everyone has to wait a while because she’s on (and in) the September issue.

Stacy Kiebler’s contract is expiring this month and it looks like there is no plan for her to renew it. Not only has she not been seen in the ring for months, she has now signed a deal with Disney’s Touchstone TV Studio. The talent holding deal she has with with Touchstone means that her priority on any activity will be them.

Since she joined Dancing with the Stars, Stacy seems to have moved out of the ring and into Hollywood proper. It was great to see this diva showing her skill (and gorgeous body) in a different arena. She sure looked great out there and yes, she had great style.
Good luck, Stacy. It’s great to know you’re moving on to greater things. Those legs will definitely be missed in the ring.

Trish is in fighting form at last! Though she recovered the shoulder injury she got from her match with Mickie James, she hasn’t yet been seen in fighting form. That has changed now though.

Saturday Night Main Event saw the much awaited match between Trish and Melina finally take place. It was a mixed tag team match: Trish and Carlito vs. Melina and Johnny Nitro©. For those who don’t know, this match has been coming since Melina claimed she’s the new top woman of WWE, right after Mickie James defeated Trish, in her first match back since her injury. Trish would have gotten quite a beating then if Carlito hadn’t jumped in to rescue her.

This match is about getting even. It’s a proper match this time. It’s a very aggressive match. With Johnny Nitro quickly getting Melina in the ring. Trish and Carlito aren’t going to let them getaway with the win this night, that’s for sure. Trish gets Melina ina Thesz press and Carlito pins Johnny Nitro. Way to go Trish! (and Carlito, of course).

You think Trish is done? She’s just getting started! Her next match: Diva tag team match. This time it is Trish and Torrie vs. Mickie and Victoria, and boy is Trish ready.The guest referee of this match is Candice Michelle.

The match gets underway and Torrie and Mickie are in the ring. Torrie seems off to a good start but Mickie changes that quite quickly. Mickie tags Victoria and Torrie barely manages to tag Trish in. The rest is all Trish, Stratusfaction guaranteed.

Special note: Candice Michelle may not have been unbiased but wow! she got them out of thering when they shouldn’t be there. Watch the Diva tag team match here and see this fantastic match for yourself.

Man, the WWE Divas are really something else. Not only are they gorgeous women, they are also tough. Maria broke her thumb during the live show: 6 diva tag team match held in Abilene, Texas.

Bummer to get an injury. It also comes at a bad time. Just when Maria’s getting better in the ring. She really does seem to be improving as a wrestler.

In spite of her injury though, this diva is not taking any time off and in fact was back doing interviews the next day, though she did seem to be hiding her right arm behind her to minimize the attention on her cast or bandages.

Hopefully Maria’s thumb will be as good as new soon and she’ll be ready in time to get the winner of the diva search competition in the ring.

The divas have never been afraid to try new things. They are very adaptable and quick to adjust to what’s going on around them. That’s how they manage to win their matches after all.

To help spice up the Saturday Night Main event, they had a bull riding competition. The divas competing:

RAW’s Torrie Wilson, Maria, WWE Women’s champion Mickie James, Candice Michelle and Victoria.

None of the divas lasted up there very long as you can see here. Bull riding after all takes a certain amount of skill and practice that they just haven’t had the time to work on. In the end it came down to a cowboy (Michelle McCool) and an Indian (Victoria). Wondering which diva had the longest time on the bull? Watch this to find out.

Ashley has finally been given a clean bill of health and is ready to get back in the ring. It was a long 4 months of recuperation posts the diva on her myspace. She’s really been looking forward to getting back to the ring. She writes that she’s really missed the physicality of working out with the divas.

In fact, she’s been raring to go because she wants to get a moment with Kristal. Ever since the sickeningly sweet bonding interview Kristal did of Ashley last month about the 2006 Diva Search things have been really off between this two. Apparently, Kristal resented Ashley not acknowledging that she made it to the top 4 . She called Ashley a B*/CH on TV which we all know the divas don’t take lying down. If you watch the video, you’ll see that Kristal really was ticked off but over such a trivial thing.

It also doesn’t help that Kristal keeps on and on about Ashley. Unluckily (for Kristal) Ashley caught her in the middle of her Ashley bashing session with Michelle McCool backstage. Ashley told Kristal to quit blaming her for everything wrong with Kristal’s life and to quit her pity party. What happened next? A catfight which included not only Ashley and Kristal, but Michelle McCool and Jillian as well.

It will be interesting to see if Kristal can take Ashley in the ring. She can talk all she wants but the real test will be if she can win a wrestling match against the 2005 Diva Search winner. Come on, Kristal, talk is cheap.

The 2006 Diva Search finalists haven’t even begun the major part of the competition and already one of them has quit. Jennifer Walcott of Youngstown, Ohio has been replaced with Erica Chevillar or Boca Raton, Florida. Wow! Three Florida girls in the competition. Will one of them be the next diva?

Watch out Michelle McCool! This girl is a 10th grade teacher and was on the US National Bikini Team. She may just force you to put your money where your mouth is and show that your “A+ body” truly is better than everyone else’s.

In the meantime, Ashley and Maria are in Kuwait. These divas are absolute troopers. They haven’t demanded any special treatment and in spite of Maria losing her luggage at one point and Ashley being under the weather, they’ve all done their best to help boost morale and meet the troops.

Who knew that Ashley plays darts so well? She saw the dart board, threw and scored a bulls eye! Wonder if there will be a dart match in her near future? She definitely had a blast meeting WWE fans out there. Pay attention, Michelle! Fans love Ashley’s tattoos.

Back in WWE, Mickie has temporarily replaced Maria on Kiss cam. She skipped down to the ring with a cowboy hat on and tried to get the audience to kiss. She also had something else planned. She had in her hand the new WWE magazine. She told the audience that she would kiss the sexiest woman on WWE and it wasn’t the cover girl, Torrie Wilson. Who could it be? Lita and Edge started a fire when she shooed Torrie out of the ring during the unveling of the new WWE Magazine cover.They made it perfectly clear that they believed that Torrie is all show and nothing more. The only way to prove otherwise is in the ring.

Welcome to the match between Lita and Torrie! Lita appears in the ring fully clothed while Torrie struts in barely dressed. The contrast in their outfits only emphasizes the differences between these two divas. Lita is a hardcore wrestler while Torrie is a playboy covergirl.

Lita actually offers Torrie a free shot. She’s taunting, very confident that Torrie can’t really fight. Torrie takes the opening but Lita ducks away and manages to pin Torrie in a suplex though really, she didn’t have her down tight. Torrie managed to kick out in 1 count.

Lita got Torrie again with a Russian Leg sweep. Again, she didn’t really pin Torrie down well so Torri managed to kick out once more. That really annoyed Lita who kicked Torrie and pinned her down on the ropes though yet again, Torrie managed to get out of it.

Wake up Torrie! Show Lita what you’ve got. A little offense was asked for and that’s what Torrie gave. Finally! The next time Lita offered her chin, Torrie was ready. She got her in the kisser and that was a great drop kick.

Lita isn’t a two time womens champion for nothing though. She finally got serious and while Torrie was distracted. she got in one kick, one DDT and a serious leg hold. That was it! Watch the match here.

Agent confidential wrote an article about the difference between the female wrestlers of the 60’s and 70’s against the current crop. Then the ladies looked and acted tough. They were always eager to prove their mettle and were always looking for ways to enhance their skill. None of them would be part of a company such as WWE if they have no wrestling abilities. People watched them because they were tough, skilled and were truly great in the sport.

The divas on the other hand are a different breed. They were not hired because of their wrestling skills. In fact quite a number, such as Barbie “Kelly” Blank, have zilch knowledge and zero ability in the ring. At this point Kelly has not earned the title of diva. A few are the exception. The divas such as Trish, Lita, Victoria and Mickie James are skilled athletes as well. Like their predecessors, they take pride in their athleticism and not just their looks. They want the fans to enjoy the sport and not just try to see who will show more skin.

Hopefully the divas will get better opportunities to showcase their skils with more ladies getting in the act. How about a match between Torrie and Lita? Hmmm…after the way Edge and Lita shooed Torrie out of the ring during the unveiling of the WWE Magazine it is a possibility. Watch the video here.
How about a Victoria against Mickie James match? It would be nice to see someone liven up WWE and get the belt moving.

We were so excited to announce that Trish was back. She is such a trooper and a joy to watch. She is a wrestler and a true athlete as well as a beauty. She is well rounded and absolutely entertaining. She is one of the few who truly deserves to be called a WWE diva.

Rumors abound that Trish may be leaving WWE. Her contract is up in August of this year. While she is said to be currently negotiating with Johnny Ace and WWE, nothing is final as of yet. It is said that she will still be taking a break, even if she stays with WWE, in order to get married to her long time boyfriend.

While we are absolutely glad that Trish seems to have found her life partner, we are sad that she could be leaving WWE. Man! She’s leaving with the belt still in Mickie “Psycho” James hands. Talk about crashing down! Come on Trish! Get the belt back! If you will be leaving the fold, leave as the champion you are.

On the other hand, maybe it is a good thing that Trish is leaving. Since Vince McMahon is turning strippers into divas, WWE has really begun to slide downhill. No doubt that Kelly has a body but she really can’t striptease! Teach her how to wrestle instead and then put her in the ring. Better yet, bring out Nikita who is already a wrestler and let her show her abilities in the ring. So far, she seems to be the only promising rookie to date this year - assuming of course that Kelly is supposed to be a diva and not just a stripper who just happened to wander into the arena.

Victoria recently visited Fort Bragg with WWE superstar Benjamin Shelton. In spite of the busy schedule on RAW, they found the time to make some of the people in the air force happy simply by coming to see them. Quite a number of fans were lined up wearing Shelton T-shirts and diva T-shirts. It really made the day for some of these soldiers.
They aren’t the only ones getting lucky! Some US soldiers in Kuwait are going to be really happy to learn that WWE is bringing some of their stars to visit. 4 WWE superstars are going on tour to meet them. 2 of the four are divas Ashley Massaro and Maria Kanellis.
This is Maria’s second time on a USO tour and knows that while it may be a bit scary and tiring that it will be a worthwhile trip to make. Ashley was part of the group that went to Afghanistan December 2005 and is happy to be part of this trip as well.
Both divas are aware that they are traveling to a dangerous area but feel that they must go. Hopefully WWE will live up to Ashley’s faith in them to bring her home in one piece and in the same condition that she left.
If you want to measure how much you’ve grown, you can now measure your height against a Trish Stratus growth chart. Trish says that it is an honor to be the only diva in the first wave of growth charts. Maybe soon there’ll be a diva who’ll say she measured up to Trish’s standards (on the chart that is).

Hip hip hooray! Trish Stratus is back in action and things are lively again in WWE. She immediately stepped into a ring for a championship match with Mickie James, the current women’s champion.
Mickie was out for blood. She immediately went for the recently healed shoulder of Trish. All through out the match she kept aiming for that weak point. Good try by Trish to get her title back but in less than three minutes Mickie won the match with a DDT. Quick, clean and done, Mickie is still the women’s champion and she has no plans of ever giving up the belt; especially not to her former favorite, Trish.
Melina and Nitro though stole Mickie’s thunder when they appeared in the ring. Melina began taunting Trish. She said that while Trish used to be the top woman on RAW but not anymore. Melina insists she’s the new top woman and Trish should see it as the passing of the torch moment(Hello! Mickie is holding the title now). She told the diva to get out of the ring or take a beating.
What do you think Trish did? Take a shot at Melina of course! Melina definitely was not about to play fair. She had Nitro hold the diva but before things could get ugly, Carlito came in to make the save. Melina and Nitro retreated up the entrance ramp but this looks to be the start of a new set of matches between Melina and Trish. Maybe there’ll even be a match with Melina and Nitro vs. Trish and Carlito.

It’s summer and everybody is busy. The divas though aren’t out and about just getting tans. They’re still having fun, getting even more fit; and they’re just waiting to meet the 8 diva wannabes. Some of the divas have already made plans for the incoming winner (whoever it may be).
In the meantime, why not come over and have some hotdogs with Torrie Wilson. Oops! There goes the mustard. Bet you’ve never had a backyard barbecue quite like this one! In case you missed it, Mickie James went head to head against Jazz during WWE vs. ECW One Night Stand 2 event. Jazz has held the title of WWE women’s champion twice. She is no delicate wilting lily. This girl is hardcore wrestling!
This looked to be an interesting match. Jazz is a veteran and a really good wrestler. Mickie is a psycho and when she gets physical she wins championship belts. Jazz gets off to a head start but Mickie held her own pretty well. Even when Jazz jumped her while she was out of the ring, she managed to get up fairly quick. In the end, Mickie spiked Jazz with a DDT. Watch that match here.
